It can be easy to rush through the school day learning exciting new things, without stopping to take notice of our present thoughts and feelings. 
Mindfulness allows us to stop and think about what's happening now.  It helps us develop concentration and self awareness of how we handle different emotions including excitement, stress and anger.  In mindfulness club we focus on the positive: praising each other, supporting each other and celebrating each others achievements.
 
Our club runs on a Tuesday 3:15-4pm for children in years R-2 and we will take part in activities which stretch our perseverance levels and allow us to have time to be calm and relaxed.  The activities will include colouring, lego, breathing techniques, yoga, board games and puzzles.
