Friends of Stathern School are a group of people; some who are currently parents, some who have had children go through the school and some who just want to support the school within the community.

We meet regularly in an informal manner (often in The Red Lion) and work together to raise money for the school. Here on the website, you can see some of the up-coming events and find out what we are currently raising money for by clicking on the 'Events' tab or check out our latest newsletters. We also hope you enjoy some of the photos from our recent events in the 'Gallery' section.

In the past we have bought technology for the school, books and helped to pay for whole school trips such as a visit to Cadbury World, Think Tank, the pantomime at Nottingham Playhouse. We have also helped to pay for a leavers’ treat that the Year 6 help to organise, in the past this has included visits to London or Alton Towers Water Park.

We have a designated chair person and secretary though we do things very informally and everyone has a great time.

In the past we have organised BBQs at some of school events and the Fish and Chip Supper at The Red Lion with live entertainment from local band 'The Hoo Haas' has become an annual event. We also organise children’s discos. In general we have a laugh and aim to raise some money for the school at the same time. If you think you want to help, please contact Mary Swain or the school - we'd love to have your support.
